I partially grew up on a farm, that doesn’t make me an expert on this topic though, far from it!
Playing Farming Simulator 18 though, gave me a lot of flashbacks of how it was and what I saw my father and others doing on the farm.
It’s an extremely realistic simulator, that must have received a lot of input from actual farmers.
Farming Simulator 18 Review
There’s not enough that can be said about the great game, Farming Simulator 18. Truth be told, I never expected to find it alluring but once you start playing the game, you cannot stop. The motif is to create the best farm in the market with the best equipment at the most cost-effective base.
It is Very Lifelike, I’m Back on The Farm
Coming from an agricultural background, I half expected this not be at all like the farming environment. This is not the case. Farming simulator is not at all fake; it is quite real, showcasing all of the fun (and not so fun) things you need to do to be a successful farmer.
The graphics are intensely lifelike. The machinery is a lot like the real thing, especially with the brands of tractors, combines, trucks. You can bid on these using money– like a real farmer, and the income depends on the crop — like a real farmer. The playability is very life-like, giving it an honest feel and atmosphere.
Graphics Down on the Farm
Enough cannot be said about the graphics in this app. They are beautifully drawn and formatted. They are bright, attractive colors and cling to the attention of the user. The colors intermingle in a delightful way and the display makes the game even more enjoyable.
There are a lot of in-app purchases with the download of Farming Simulator 18. You must have certain machinery and tools to combat bad crops. You deal with the weather. You deal with animals that want to destroy your crops. Using in-app purchases helps you with this, but the one dilemma is that there might be too many in-app purchases. This can deter players because people may not want to spend their entire paycheck on an application.
Sadly, with Farming Simulator 18, it seems very easy to spend a lot of money on the game.
Though this may be one of the most fun applications of 2018, the game controls are a little tricky. This takes some getting used to, but once you have it down you will steer the machinery like a true farmer. The tutorial is not very helpful, so you have to rely on your intuition to steer and drive the machinery.
In many ways, the game is similar to the Sim City’s of the mid-90’s, early 2000’s– so a rudimentary knowledge of how to build a community is necessary. If you don’t know quite how to do that, you can still play the game, but it might be a little difficult at first. After a while, however, you will find it an easy game to play and a lot of fun.
Farming Simulator 18 is a great game, full of fun, and a wonderful way to kill some time playing on your smartphone or tablet. The application is actually a lot faster moving than the PC game which is a good thing because the PC game can be a bit clunky at times. Take advantage of your farming wants, and jump in the tractor.
It’s a great simulator, and because of that it really takes time to learn and build something.
As a youth, I was always told that farming is not easy. This game solidifies that statement. I think Farming Simulator 18 will appeal to those who can spend a lot of time mastering a game and have fun doing it.
Do you like simulations? Then you will love farming Simulator 18, I am very certain of this.
